  •   British post office Royal Mail published a stamps series called:"Great British Fashion Stamps" to highlight the most influential characters in fashion history. It includes Alexander McQueen、Paul Smith、Zandra Rhodes、Vivienne Westwood、Jean Muir、Ossie Clark、Hardy Amies、Norman Hartnell、Tommy Nutter and Granny Takes a Trip, a legend boutique gallery which is on London's King's Road. How many famous British designers do you know? Let's popularize knowledge about fashion.

    Jean Muir(1925-1998): She was a designer and actress, but she prefer people call her "Dressmaker". She found  her own design label, and so Jane & Jane launched in 1962.

    Ossie Clark(1942-1996): She was an English fashion designer who was a major figure in the Swinging Sixties scene in London and the fashion industry in that era. Clark is now renowned for his vintage designs by present-day designers.

    4.Left:Granny Takes a Trip; Right: Tommy Nutter(1943-1992)

    Granny Takes a Trip was a boutique opened in February 1966 at 488 Kings Road, Chelsea, London, by Nigel Waymouth, his girlfriend Sheila Cohen and John Pearse.The shop, which was acquired by Freddie Hornik in 1969, remained open until the mid-70s and has been called the "first psychedelic boutique in Groovy London of the 1960s".

    \r\nTommy Nutter(1943-1992):The business was an immediate success, as Nutter combined traditional tailoring skills with innovative design. He designed for the Hardy Amies range, and then for the man himself. His clients included his investors, plus Sir Roy Strong, Mick Jagger, Bianca Jagger and Elton John.

    Hardy Amies(1909-2003): Amies is best known to the British public for his work for Queen Elizabeth II. Knighted in 1989.

    \r\nSir Norman Bishop Hartnell, KCVO (12 June 1901, London – 8 June 1979, Windsor) was a British fashion designer. Royal Warrant as Dressmaker to HM The Queen 1940, subsequently Royal Warrant as Dressmaker to HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. Royal Warrant as Dressmaker to Queen Elizabeth II 1957.
