  •  Smart-home technology is also known as intelligent home, home automation and home networking. Smart-home technology has been around longer than most people think; the technology isn't just complicated items such as alarm systems, but simple items such as the remote control.

    History:

    \r\n

    \r\n

One of the first pieces of smart-home technology is the remote control, originally named "Lazy Bones," introduced in 1950. The remote control was created by Zenith, a large manufacturer of TVs.

    Features:

    \r\n

On the user's end, smart home technology will regulate the home's temperature by lowering the thermostat when the occupants have gone to bed. It will turn lights on and off, arm and monitor burglar alarms, and turn on water heaters before family members typically shower. It also extends to entertainment, with televisions connected throughout the house allowing family members to record a show in one room and watch it in another.

    Instructions:

    \r\n

1.Install a high-tech security system. Many people feel as if the area they live in is safe enough to not warrant the need for a security system, which is simply not true. No matter how safe your neighborhood, there is always a chance something could happen. Installing a proper security system will help you to rest easy knowing your home is well-protected should an intruder ever try to break in. Modern security systems are close to impossible to thwart.

2.Install automated blinds. For many people, opening and closing all the blinds in the house can be a pain, especially if the home is rather large. Automated blinds can make the process both easy and futuristic at the same time. With automated blinds, manual opening and closing is no longer necessary, as the task can be completed with just the flip of a switch. Depending upon what type of automation system you install, the blinds can be triggered either separately or all at once, allowing for maximum control.

    \r\n

    \r\n

3.Install a timed lighting system. While many people set up timers to turn the lights in their homes on and off when they are on vacation, recent advances in home automation technology has made it easy to integrate timed lighting into daily life. A timed lighting system will allow you to set your lights to go on and off at the same times each day, which can save a great deal of time for those who live in large homes.
