Cleaning your pool is a must to ensure your comfort and protect your equipment. Cleaning your pool is quite simple if you have the right tools and if the pool is not surrounded by trees or bushes that keep filling it with leaves.

\r\n
Manual Vacuum Cleaner
\r\n
Vacuum pool cleaners help eliminate debris, dirt, pebbles, sand and bugs from the pool water and the pool floor. The machine is similar to the conventional vacuum cleaner, which when attached to the pool’s bottom, sucks out all the debris and dirt. Periodically, you will need to empty the vacuum bags filled with pool waste. Since they are electric cleaners, make sure you have a power outlet near the pool for plugging in the machine.

\r\n
Pressure Cleaner
\r\n
As opposed to vacuum cleaners, pressure cleaners have several hoses attached to them that spray out high-pressure streams of water, which stir the water and mix the hard debris, dirt and even algae. Once it mixes the waste with the water, the pool’s filtration system filters it all out.
\r\n
\r\n
Pool Filter
\r\n
A pool filter is installed between the inflow and outflow hoses of the pool to continuously filter out the debris in the pool. Over time, the pool water accumulates small particles, which makes for unpleasant swimming conditions. The pool filter’s job is to clean out the water circulating from the inflow hose to the outflow hose. Keep in mind that the filter is not meant for larger pieces of pool waste, such as leaves, insects or grass clippings.

\r\n
Pool Skimmer Basket
\r\n
A pool skimmer basket is a netting that traps large pieces of dirt and debris floating around in the pool that can clog the pool filter. Since it removes the larger waste materials, it makes your filter more efficient and effective by reducing the chances of clogging.
\r\n
\r\n
Pump Strainer Basket
\r\n
Pump strainer basket catches all junk in the pool. This basket is used as an attachment to the pool pump. When water flows through the pump, the strainer basket catches all the debris and large waste material.

Automatic/Robot Pool Cleaners
\r\n
Automatic pool cleaners too use vacuuming technology for removing debris and dirt. You attach the machine to a suction port on the wall of the pool and the device automatically keeps moving the dirt in the water and sucking it out. The biggest advantage of the device is that it is automated so there isn’t any fuss for the pool owner.

Instructions:
\r\n
1.Use a manual brush and pool vacuum on all areas of the walls and floor at least once a week, even if your pool is equipped with an automatic system. There are some places in every pool that the automatic cleaning systems miss.
\r\n
\r\n
2.Pay particular attention to corners, stairs and other hard-to-reach areas that get little circulation.
\r\n
\r\n
3.Keep your pool maintained. A clean pool is also a function of a working filtration system and proper pH levels. Use a sanitizer to help fight bacteria, and shock the pool on a regular basis (see How to Shock a Pool) to help keep it clean and crystal-clear.
\r\n
\r\n
Tips & Warnings:
\r\n
\r\n
1.Pool brushes come with handles of varying lengths, and many have telescoping handles - so a large portion of the work can be done from poolside.
\r\n
\r\n
2.Frequently cleaning algae-growing areas keeps bathers more comfortable, saves wear and tear on filtration systems and saves money by preventing situations that require costly chemical remedies.
